Bi-Colors

Charlie Brown    
A small miniature at a mature height of 10” to 12”. This is a well-rounded plant that is covered with red and white striped flowers. Excellent for planting in pots and for use as a border.

Climbing Earthquake    
This plant is the climbing variety of the popular earthquake miniature rose. This variety is vigorous growing to about six feet or so. It may be grown as a climber or as a spreading, free standing shrub. The blooms are red and yellow striped. If you like climbers you should try this one.
 
Climbing Rainbow's End    
This miniature rose variety is a sport of the very popular miniature rose named Rainbow’s End. The plant grows to 6’ to 10’ and has blooms are bright yellow edged with scarlet.

Double Treat    
This miniature rose will look great in your garden. It has flowers that are bright red and yellow striped and the blooms are pointed. It grows to a height of 12” to 18”.
 
Hoot Owl    
This variety is a very different miniature rose. It has only about five petals of bright red with a white “eye” in the center. The plant grows to a height of 12” to 18” and is worth a try.

Lights of Broadway    
Yellow petals with a pink edge blending to red with the underside of the petals being bright yellow. The blooms come in clusters for lots of color. This is a vigorous variety growing to a height of 20” to 24”.

Pinstripe    
Double 1 ½” flowers striped red and white. This miniature grows to a height of 12” to 18”. This variety is very nice and is one of the best of the “striped” series. Give this one a try.
 
Ring of Fire    
Blooms of glowing yellow edged with red giving a bright orange effect. You will want to cut a few blooms for the house too. This variety grows a bit taller than most miniature roses achieving two feet tall or so, depending on where you live.
 

Mauves

Incognito    
Unique dusty light mauve blooms with a yellow reverse. Strong plant and disease resistant. Winner of the New England Rose trials in 1996. Grows to a height of 12 to 24 inches.

Raindrops    
Lavender blooms that have a cream color on the underside of the petals. Nice garden rose—growing to a height of 12” to 16”. Unique pleasing color.
 
Scentsational    
Perfume on a plant from this first of the Scentation series. Very fragrant. Exhibition form on blooms of light mauve with petals edged with pink and the bloom has a cream colored reverse. Medium green foliage on a strong plant. Produces blooms in small clusters, but mostly the blooms are one-to-a-stem to cut for bouquets. Grows to a height of 24-30 inches.

Great high-centered, double, blooms of soft yet vibrant lavender. The blooms are lovely and come singly on this vigorous plant. Use in the garden or take to the show. Fragrant and grows to a height of 15-18 inches.

Absolutely    
1998 New England Rose Trial Award. This wonderful plant has urn-shaped buds that have a creamy white outer petals with the outside of these petals having a yellow color. The inner petals are pale yellow, and all have a hint of apricot pink. There is even a slight fragrance. The plant is vigorous and grows to a height of 18” to 24”.

Busy Bee    
This is a prolific bloomer and the color can vary depending on the climate, temperature, and the age of the bloom. Petals are coral-orange on the outer rows with the inner row becoming golden yellow. This makes the center look like it is glowing. This is a great landscape rose. There is a slight fragrance. The plant grows to a height of 18” to 22”.

Peach Delight    
Soft apricot buds that open slowly to display deep peach inner petals. Hybrid tea-type flowers arriving singly on long cutting stems. Good cut flower. The plant habit is upright but this vigorous rose will spread up to 3 feet in width as well. Outstanding miniature at the New England Rose Trials in 2002. Strong fruity fragrance. Grows to a height of 18-24 inches.

Amy Grant (limited quantities)    
Another nice Mini-flora that has light pink blooms of hybrid tea form. Mini-flora roses are slightly larger than most miniature roses. Works well in the garden and produces enough blooms for cutting. Grows to a height of 18” to 24”.
 
Baby Boomer    
This introduction is a lovely pink that has show-table form. The blooms may look a bit fragile but they have a lot of substance and the plant blooms continuously. The foliage is dark green and semi-glossy. The foliage provides a nice color contrast to the bloom color. Blooms come singly and in clusters on long stems. The plant grows to a height of 24-36 inches. Vigorous and has a mild fragrance. Award of Excellence winner for 2003.

This miniature rose is a double winner. It won both the All-America Rose Selection and the American Rose Society Award of Excellence. The bloom is white with a delicate pink edge. Easy to grow. Robust plant producing loads of blooms. Grows to a height of 15” to 20”.

Large, double vibrant pink blooms that blend to white. Great form and a wonderfully sweet fragrance. Upright and spreading habit so would be a very good plant for container growing or used as a low border. Vigorous plant with dark green, semi-glossy foliage. Grows to a height of 12-18 inches.

This is a great climbing miniature rose. Medium pink blooms with a darker pink reverse that come in sprays and cover the plant with color. This plant is an Award of Excellence winner and also recently was accepted into the Miniature Rose Hall of Fame. A great plant that grows to a length of 6-10 feet depending on where you live.
 
Jilly Jewel    
This is a tall plant growing from 24” to 30”. The blooms' color is frosty; ice pink and they look very nice. This miniature rose is used as a cut rose around the world because of its bloom production.

Minor Details    
This miniature rose was introduced only this year. It is a “micro” size reaching a height of 10” to 12”. The variety is low-growing, symmetrical, compact and has blooms of deep rose pink. Constantly in bloom.

Overnight Scentsation    
One of the most fragrant roses available. So fragrant in fact that it was chosen to travel on the space shuttle as part of a perfume experiment. The blooms are large bright medium pink and double. The fragrance is a strong rose scent. The foliage is a matte green. The plant grows to a height of 24-36 inches.

This is an old favorite that has shapely red flowers. It grows to a height of 12” to 18”.

Award of Excellence winner. Velvety medium red petals with the backside of the blooms being just a shade lighter. Plant grows to 2 feet tall. Vigorous plant with semi-glossy foliage. We have a beautiful one growing in our rose bed.

Little Tommy Tucker    
Award of Excellence winner. Light buttery yellow blooms that come in profusion. Medium green foliage on a plant that grows to a height of 14-20 inches. Excellent for borders or any area where maximum color is needed.
 
Pacific Serenade    
Thornless with bright yellow flowers. Good garden rose and can be used for cutting flowers for your home. Good landscape rose and grows to a height of 24” to 30”.

This has got to be one of the best lavender colored miniature roses. It has been around for some time but still compares well to newer introductions. Good form on the bloom, great color, and a nice compact bush that grows to a height of 12” to 18”.
